The Roaring Fork Outdoor Volunteers (RFOV) is asking you and others of the Aspen Cycling Club to continue the commitment to maintaining the trails we ride on.
Trails Day participation is required to be eligible for end of season points. While race points will no longer be awarded for Trails Day we strongly encourage our members, both trail and road brethren, to give back to the community by participating in the schedule ACC Trails Day or a substitute day.
- ACC Trails Day: Tom Blake Trail, Wednesday, July 9, 2020 from 5:00-8:00 PM
Meet at the Tom Blake trailhead on Owl Creek Road at 5:00 PM. Please make every effort to arrive by 5:00 but if you can’t make it by then we will have a volunteer stationed at check-in until 5:30 PM. - Bring gloves, water, insect repellent, rain gear and wear appropriate clothing.
- Please sign the wavier ahead of time at this link. Please write “Aspen Cycling Club” where it says group project name.
Substitute “Trails Day”
While you are encouraged to participate in the ACC Trails Day if you cannot make it on that date you can still do your part in helping maintain our trails and receive your Trails Day credit. Simply sign-up to join any of the RFOV Public Projects* that happen before the cutoff date below, download & print the ACC-RFOV Trail Work form, and bring it with you to the project. A minimum of 3 hours work is required to receive points credit. At the completion of the project ask the RFOV supervisor to sign your form. All forms must be submitted to the ACC Results Coordinator within 7 days of the substitute project. The final cutoff to submit forms is 5:00 PM Wednesday, September 16. Forms will not be accepted after that time – no exceptions!
* It has to be one of their public projects – sorry, you can’t kill two birds with one stone by participating in a SkiCo or similarly sponsored project.
