The Aspen Cycling Club is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to encouraging participation in bicycling at all levels. The ACC offers a low-cost, summer-long series of road and mountain bike races. During the 2016 race season, we hosted 905 starters, with 142 club members and 107 non-members and out-of-town guests. The 2017 series will again host approximately nine road- and nine mountain-bike races. We will continue to race on some of the Valley’s classic roads and trails, and we will also look for new and exciting courses while striving to grow our membership base. In 2017, the Club will seek to expand event participation throughout the Valley and will continue our commitment to trail building and maintenance as part of our goal to support and grow the sport from Aspen to Glenwood Springs.
The ACC welcomes everyone from experienced racers to complete beginners, with three levels of competition, as well as age divisions and special races for children. Open cyclists (A category) compete at longer distances than beginners (C category). Racers in each category and age bracket compete for points in a season-long competition for championship placement, awarded at the end of the season. Bonus points can be earned by participating in volunteer trail days.
We hope you will join us for some fun—your first ever ACC race is free!
