Snowmass Enduro Race Announcement
The Snowmass Enduro takes place next Wednesday, August 13th. Get ready for some ripping fun and quite possibly the best race of the summer.
For those unfamiliar, with an Enduro Style race here’s how it works: Ride UNTIMED to the top of the Elk Camp Gondola. The most direct route will be posted, but any way you can get there ON THE BIKE you’re competing on is permitted. Once you are at the top of Elk Camp, we will be sending racers off in 30 second intervals between 6:00pm and 7:00pm.
Please keep in mind for the ride up:
-Racers must arrive to the top by 7:00pm, plan accordingly and give yourself plenty of time, between 45-90min, depending on your pace.
– Racers will not be scored after 7:00pm.
The timed course:
The timed section will be from the top of Valhalla, down Valhalla to Powerline to the Ridge of Blake, then a short climb back up the service road for approximately ½ mile, then down Verde/Easy Rider to the Base Village.
Please keep in mind for the TIMED COURSE:
-Valhalla is an expert level trail and should be pre-ridden if at all possible.
-Please race to your ability level and be mindful when catching air, many have suffered consequences when riding beyond their limits on this trail!
-There could be oncoming/cross traffic when riding, please keep your head up and time your passes accordingly.
The race will be followed by a party hosted by our sponsor, The New Belgium Ranger Station. Come by after your race for a complimentary beer and some appetizers. The Ranger Station is located on Fanny Hill at the top of the skittles gondola
registration will be from 5:00-to 5:50pm @ Base VILLAGE
Parking will be available at Base Village.
